Diehl Defence in Germany has developed a kit to upgrade the guidance and control systems of the AIM-9J/N/P to the AIM-9L standard. The resulting product was marketed as the AIM-9JULI. The core element of this upgrade was the installation of the AIM-9L's DSQ-29 seeker unit, which replaced the original J/N/P seeker to improve performance.
