GBU-31(V)2/B 是美國海軍（USN／USMC）的 Mk-84 航空炸彈 JDAM 升級型。彈頭上塗有熱灰色塗層，供航艦上使用——用以降低炸彈在燃油火災中的爆炸風險。
JDAM 是低成本的套件，可把傳統的 Mk-82（BLU-111）、Mk-83（BLU-110）、Mk-84（BLU-117）、BLU-109、BLU-116 等投擲炸彈升級為精準彈藥，由經 GPS 修正的慣性導航系統導引。彈體裝有氣動力梳狀片，可延伸使用範圍，並可全天候使用。
GBU-31(V)2/B is a JDAM upgrade of the Mk-84 aircraft bomb for the U.S. Navy (USN/USMC). It has a thermal gray coating on the warhead for use on aircraft carriers - to reduce the explosive potential of the bombs in a fuel fire.
The JDAM are low-cost kits for upgrading conventional Mk-82 (BLU-111), Mk-83 (BLU-110), Mk-84 (BLU-117), BLU-109, BLU-116, etc. drop bombs into precision munitions, which are guided by a GPS-corrected inertial navigation system. The bomb body is equipped with aerodynamic combs, which allow extension of the application range. All-weather use is possible.
