Dozens of different variants of the Toyota LC70/HL were developed during the conflicts in Syria and Iraq, each with different weaponry and capabilities.
The rarest variant of the Toyota HL is a pickup truck equipped with rocket launchers mounted in the cargo bed. These vehicles typically carry a large number of unguided rockets and UB-16-57/B8M1 launchers, which were designed for military aircraft. However, there are also homemade modifications.
The launcher is most often installed on an infantry machine gun mount. Since the launchers were originally designed for military aircraft, which have airflow to stabilize the rockets immediately after launch, they become ineffective and inaccurate under other conditions.
